South Dakota Wage & Hour Webinar

PIERRE, S.D. – The Department of Labor and Regulation (DLR) and South Dakota Retailers Association (SDRA) are providing a webinar Wednesday, March 23, at 10 a.m. (CT). This webinar will cover overall South Dakota wage and hour information.

“We strive to help businesses better understand the laws in South Dakota,” said state Labor and Regulation Secretary Marcia Hultman. “Proper training and education of laws will give business owners a better understanding of how to handle these situations.”

James Marsh, director of Labor and Management, will provide information regarding the state minimum wage, as well as an update on state fair labor standards laws and enforcement policies.

“This webinar will provide practical, useful information on South Dakota wage and hour laws,” said SDRA Executive Director Shawn Lyons. “If you have even a single employee in South Dakota, it’s crucial to know what these laws are, and make sure you’re in compliance. We encourage business owners, supervisors, managers and HR personnel to take part.”
